Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan- Key Facts
Visva-Bharati University will start the centenary celebrations of the university on December 24. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the centenary celebrations of the university through video conferencing. It must be noted that the Prime Minister is the chancellor of Visva-Bharati University.
West Bengal Governor and Education Minister will also be present at the event.

Centenary Celebrations of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
Before this, on December 22, PM Modi addressed the centenary celebrations of the Aligarh Muslim University through video conferencing. PM Modi also released a postal stamp during the event. The university was established as Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in the year 1875 and it became Aligarh Muslim University in the year 1920. The university has been ranked in the Indian universities as per NIRF 2020. The overall ranking of AMU in NIRF 2020 is 31.
