DNA Nanoball Strategy: Revolutionising Pathogens Detection

In a substantial scientific development, an innovation known as the DNA nanoball strategy has emerged as a promising technology for fast pathogen detection. This approach combines nucleic acids-based diagnostics and loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) technology, eliminating the need for sophisticated laboratory techniques.

What is LAMP?

The LAMP process allows circular DNA molecules to be amplified into long strands that contain multiple copies of DNA. These strands subsequently fold into structures called DNA nanoballs, visible through a microscope or an electrical device. This low-cost innovation proves to be a scalable solution, useful in wide-scale application.
