Yuva Sangam

Yuva Sangam

The Yuva Sangam is a government initiative aimed at bringing together young people from the North Eastern states and other states in India through exposure tours. The initiative was launched to promote diversity, unity, and democracy in India and is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 30. The program is organized by the Ministry of Development of North-East Region and is part of the government’s larger Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.

The Need for the Yuva Sangam

The need for the Yuva Sangam initiative arises from the fact that the North Eastern states of India are often considered to be isolated and disconnected from the rest of the country. There is a lack of awareness and understanding among the people of other states about the rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions and economic development of the North Eastern states. This has resulted in a feeling of alienation and marginalization among the youth of the region.

Objectives of the Yuva Sangam

The main objective of the Yuva Sangam is to bring together young people from different parts of the country and expose them to the diverse cultural, social, and economic landscape of the North Eastern states. The program aims to promote diversity, unity, and democracy in India and create a people-to-people connection between the North Eastern states and other states.

The program also aims to provide a multi-dimensional experience to young people in the areas of tourism, traditions, development and people-to-people connection. Through the exposure tours, young people will have the opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the North Eastern states, explore their diverse traditions and customs, and understand the challenges and opportunities for economic development in the region.

The Exposure Tours

The exposure tours are an integral part of the Yuva Sangam initiative. These tours are designed to provide young people with a comprehensive and immersive experience in the North Eastern states. The tours will be conducted over a period of 10-15 days and will include visits to cultural and historical sites, interactions with local communities, and participation in various cultural and social activities.

The tours will be conducted in a way that ensures that young people have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience. The tours will be accompanied by experienced tour guides and support staff who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the tours.

Registration Portal

A registration portal has been launched as part of the Yuva Sangam initiative. The portal provides young people with the opportunity to register for the exposure tours and to learn more about the program. The portal is easy to use and provides all the information that young people need to know about the program, including the dates of the tours, the itinerary, the cost of the tour, and the eligibility criteria.
