8th MITRA SHAKTI Military Exercise Held in Sri Lanka

The latest news in the defense sector brings to light the 8th edition of the joint military exercise between the Indian Army and the Sri Lankan Army, codenamed Exercise MITRA SHAKTI. The exercise was conducted on the soil of Sri Lanka, continuing to strengthen the military bond that has been formed over years of strategic collaboration. The 7th edition of this exercise was previously held in Pune, Maharashtra in 2019.

About Exercise MITRA SHAKTI

Exercise MITRA SHAKTI is a military training initiative based primarily on counterinsurgency and counter-terrorism operations in semi-urban terrain.
