China’s exports to India is continuing to decline. The data from customs shows that the exports from China has declined by 13-percent in the first 11 months of the year 2020.

In the year 2019, The trade deficit of India with China had reduced slightly by 2%. This was the first decrease in deficit since 2005. The trade stood at56.95 billion. The trade between both the countries had reached to US$ 92.89 billion in 2019.

China-India border tension
This decline in the export is the result of the long-drawn border standoff between India and China in eastern Ladakh. Indian government has taken many strict measures against China to reduce its dependency on China. It included banning of some 200 Chinese apps and other investments projects of China.
