The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched the ‘Jagananna Suraksha’ program, a month-long effort aimed at addressing unresolved grievances by reaching out to households across the state. This comprehensive program involves volunteers and secretariat employees visiting all households, totaling 1.6 crore, within the next 10 days to identify and assist those who have been left out of previous benefit schemes.
The Jagananna Suraksha Program: Ensuring Safety and Welfare
The Jagananna Suraksha program is an initiative aimed at ensuring the safety and welfare of the people of Andhra Pradesh. It complements the Jaganannaku Chebudam grievance program by focusing on resolving issues related to documents, certificates, and government schemes. Through this program, secretariat staff, public representatives, volunteers, and householders will visit every house in each village and ward secretariat to explain the benefits and provisions of Jagananna’s Suraksha.
Streamlined Grievance Resolution: Prompt and Efficient
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has emphasized the importance of resolving grievances promptly and efficiently. Officials have been directed to ensure that requests related to houses, death certificates, income certificates, marriage certificates, and government schemes are resolved without neglecting any complaint. Teams at the mandal level, consisting of MPDOs, deputy tehsildars, tehsildars, and EO of Panchayat Raj, will visit villages to address grievances. The goal is to provide a streamlined process that prevents issues from recurring.
Focus on Urban Areas: Reaching Every Section of Society
The Jagananna Suraksha program extends to urban areas as well. Teams comprising municipal commissioners and staff, as well as zonal commissioners or deputy commissioners, will visit wards to engage with residents and address their concerns. This comprehensive approach aims to reach every section of society and ensure that eligible individuals receive the necessary support and assistance.
Effective Implementation and Monitoring: Ensuring Success
To ensure the successful implementation of the program, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has outlined the responsibilities of officials at various levels. Special officers appointed for each district are required to visit their respective areas twice a month and supervise the program. District collectors, joint-collectors, secretaries, and HoDs must also visit village and ward secretariats regularly. The timely resolution of complaints and quality service delivery are key priorities of the program.
Progress and Future Goals: Improving Lives and Strengthening Bonds
Since the launch of the Jaganannaku Chebudam grievance program, significant progress has been made, with thousands of complaints resolved within the stipulated time frame. However, the Chief Minister acknowledges the need to further increase the level of satisfaction among citizens. The program also aims to address issues related to spurious seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers in the market, ensuring the well-being of farmers and consumers.
Addressing the Problems: Strengthening the Bond between Government and People
The Jagananna Suraksha program aims to address the grievances of the people of Andhra Pradesh related to documents, certificates, and government schemes. By emphasizing efficient grievance resolution, the program strives to ensure that every eligible individual receives the necessary support and benefits. As the program unfolds, it is expected to improve the lives of citizens, promote transparency, and strengthen the bond between the government and the people it serves.
