Mee Bhoomi-Mee Hakku Andhra Pradesh Land Rights Program

On 9 July 2026 Andhra Pradesh launched the ‘Mee Bhoomi‑Mee Hakku’ programme in Banaganapalle, Nandyal district to distribute secure Pattadar Passbooks and correct land‑status anomalies.

Key features of the programme

  • New Pattadar Passbook: Issued with State Emblem, a unique number and a QR code for machine verification and linkage to digitised records.
  • Resurvey status: Resurvey completed in 6,887 villages; 29.04 lakh passbooks printed and distributed.
  • Verification drive (July 2026): 2.48 lakh passbooks verified across 428 villages during the month.

  • Repeal of Land Titling Act: The state government repealed the Land Titling Act introduced by the previous administration.
  • Section 22‑A removals: 2,074 acres belonging to 897 farmers in Gutupalle removed from the prohibited list; 101 acres (23 farmers) removed from restricted/dotted category in Banaganapalle constituency.
