Progress on Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway Corridor

On 17 July 2026, packages 1–5 (157.92 km in Jind, Haryana) and package 6 (30.9 km in Jalandhar, Punjab) of the Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway were inaugurated, opening 188.82 km of the corridor.

  • Total length: 667 km greenfield, access‑controlled corridor under development by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) under Bharatmala Pariyojana.
  • Cross‑section: Designed as four lanes with provision for future expansion to eight lanes.
  • Cost: Packages 1–5 valued at about ₹9,680 crore; inaugurated stretches total 188.82 km.
