AgriStack is a project launched by the Central Government to create a “unified platform for farmers to provide end-to-end services across agriculture food value chains”. It will connect around 120 million Indian farmers to various agri-related businesses like insurance companies, credit card firms, logistics outfits, supermarkets and seed sellers. It will collect details of farmers and their landholdings, the crops they cultivate, climate of specific geographies and average output.

The Agriculture Ministry signed a MoU with Microsoft Corporation to initiate pilot version of this project in 100 villages in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
