Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the second Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam, commemorating the third anniversary of the introduction of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event took place at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Additionally, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati jointly conducted a press conference in Guwahati, discussing the implementation of NEP 2020. This grand gathering brought together academics, sector experts, policy makers, industry representatives, teachers, and students to share insights, success stories, and best practices in implementing the NEP 2020.

PM SHRI Scheme: Nurturing Engaged and Productive Citizens

One of the key highlights of the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam was the launch of the PM SHRI Scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first installment of funds under this scheme during the event. The primary objective of the PM SHRI Scheme is to support schools in nurturing students to become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens, aligning with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020. The funds provided through this scheme will enable schools to implement innovative teaching methodologies, upgrade infrastructure, and enhance the overall learning experience for students.

Translation of Education and Skill Curriculum Books in 12 Indian Languages

Recognizing the importance of language diversity and promoting inclusivity in education, another significant aspect of the program was the release of education and skill curriculum books translated into 12 Indian languages. Prime Minister Modi personally initiated this initiative during the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam. By making educational resources available in multiple Indian languages, the government aims to bridge the language barrier and ensure quality education reaches every corner of the nation. This step is a major stride towards democratizing education and fostering a sense of unity in diversity.

National Education Policy 2020: Vision and Achievements

The National Education Policy 2020 was launched with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary guidance, with the aim of grooming the youth to lead the nation in the future. During the three years of its implementation, the policy has brought about radical transformations in school, higher, and skill education. The Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam served as a platform to showcase the achievements of NEP 2020 and allowed stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities encountered during its execution. The policy’s success stories shared during the event served as an inspiration for educators and policymakers across the country.
