‘Clinicopathological Profile of Cancers in India: A Report of the Hospital Based Cancer Registries, 2021’

‘Clinicopathological Profile of Cancers in India: A Report of the Hospital Based Cancer Registries, 2021’ was released recently by the Indian Council of Medical Research. The report analyzed the cancer cases within India.
According to the report, the highest proportion of cancer from all sites was reported in the 45 to 64 age group, except for prostate cancer in males, which was highest among those above 65 years of age. The proportion of all cancer cases was higher in males than females with gynaecological cancers. Childhood cancer accounts for 7.9 per cent of all cancers.
