An annual World’s Best Cities report has been published on November 17, 2020. The report has listed the best cities across the world.
Highlights
- Total of 100 cities across the world with a population of more than 10 lakh were surveyed.
- The ranking has been decided on the basis of 25 ranking factors.
- The factors include- the number of social media hashtags, check-ins, weather, diversity and the number of tourist attractions and number of parks.
- This year the factors also include the rate of Covid-19 infections, unemployment and income disparity.

- Los Angeles, and
- Madrid
Other featured cities
Cities including Rome (Italy), Berlin (Germany), Chicago (United States), Amsterdam (Netherlands), San Francisco (USA), Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Toronto (Canada), St Petersburg (Russia), Prague (Czech Republic) and Washington DC (US) got featured in the list. India has only one representative in the list with Delhi being ranked at the 62nd position on the list.
World Best cities Ranking
The ranking for the cities has been done by Resonance Consultancy Ltd. It is a Vancouver-based company and it has specialties in destination development, branding, marketing, design, tourism, data, and travel reports. In the World’s Best Cities Report, the company has ranked the world’s best cities with populations of more than a million. The company has used a statistical performance and qualitative evaluations by locals and visitors in 25 areas by grouping into six core categories.
