Drone swarming
Drone swarming is the use of multiple drones that work in tandem to achieve a common specific goal. Recently, the Indian Army demonstrated its drone swarming capacity using 75 indigenously developed drones that functioned autonomously to identify and neutralize targets simulating tanks, fuel dumps, helipads and terror camps. This is a first for India. This is a disruptive technology which wold increase the offensive capacity of the troops. Also, these drones are also capable of dropping supplies like medicines and stores to ground troops.
