Elephant Walk
Elephant walk is a United States Air Force term for the taxiing military aircraft before the takeoff in a close formation. Usually, it takes place immediately before the flights take off. It demonstrates the air force?s team work and overall potential. It is usually performed to prepare squadrons for wartime operations and prepare pilots for launching fully armed aircraft in one mass event.
The Indian Air Force conducted an elephant walk recently to commemorate 75 years of India?s independence. Rafales and Jaguars were used to conduct this exercise. Earlier, the Indian Air Force celebrated the occasion with a tri-services skydiving demonstration with 75 skydivers.
