Exercise Cyclone

Exercise Cyclone is a bilateral joint training exercise between the armies of India and Egypt. The primary objective of this exercise is to strengthen the bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries, promoting the sharing of professional skills and improving interoperability between their special forces. The inaugural edition of Exercise Cyclone was conducted in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, from January 14 to 27, 2023.
Objective
The main objective of Exercise Cyclone is to improve the relationship between the Indian and Egyptian armies, with a focus on improving the skills of their special forces. This includes enhancing their capabilities in areas such as counter-terrorism, reconnaissance, raids, and other similar activities. The exercise also aims to promote the sharing of information related to weapons, equipment, tactics, innovation, procedures, and other aspects, thus improving their overall operational efficiency.
Participants
Exercise Cyclone involved the participation of special forces from both the Indian and Egyptian armies.
