Exercise Samudra Shakti
Exercise Samudra Shakti is a bilateral naval exercise between India and Indonesia. It was launched in 2018 to further the strategic partnership between the two countries. It has two phases Â– harbour phase and sea phase, both seeking to improve the interoperability between the two navies and share best practices.
Four warships from Indian NavyÂ’s Eastern Fleet are scheduled for a two-months overseas deployment to the South East Asia, the South China Sea and Western Pacific. They will be taking part in various naval exercises, including Exercise Samudra Shakti with Indonesian Navy.
