Garvi Gujarat Tour

The Indian Railways has launched a special Garvi Gujarat tour that aims to showcase the cultural and spiritual heritage of Gujarat through its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. This tour package is a part of the Indian government’s “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” initiative and is based on the life of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, a great freedom fighter. The eight-day journey will cover approximately 3500 km, departing from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on February 28th.

Boarding the Train:

The special tourist train will depart on 28th February from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station and provide boarding and deboarding facilities at Gurugram, Rewari, Ringas, Phullera & Ajmer Railway Stations for the convenience of tourists.

Attractions to be Witnessed:

The tour includes stops at several cultural and spiritual heritage sites, including the Statue of Unity, Champaner archaeological park, Adhlej Step Well, Akshardham Temple in Ahmedabad, Sabarmati Ashram, Modhera Sun Temple, Rani ki Vao, and more. The tour will also include visits to Somnath Jyotirlinga, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarkadheesh Temple, and Beyt Dwarka. The two-night stays during the tour will be at Kevadiya and Ahmedabad, while visits to Somnath and Dwarka will be covered during a day halt at the destinations.

Features and Ticket Fare:

The fully air-conditioned train provides two types of accommodation: 1st AC and 2nd AC. It has enhanced security features such as CCTV cameras and security guards for each coach, as well as an infotainment system throughout the train. Other features include two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles in coaches, and a sensor-based washroom system with a foot massager. The fare for AC 2 Tier is priced at ?52,250/- per person, while AC 1 (Cabin) is priced at Rs.67,140/- per person and AC 1 (Coupe) is priced at Rs. 77,400/- per person. These prices are all-inclusive and cover night stays at AC hotels, all meals (vegetarian only), transfers and sight-seeing in buses, travel insurance, and the services of a guide. IRCTC has also tied up with payment gateways to provide an EMI payment option for breaking down the total payment into smaller amounts.
