Groundswell report

The Groundswell report was released by the World Bank recently. With this report, the international financial institution called on the governments to reduce global emissions in order avoid the climate change-led crisis such as water scarcity, decreasing crop productivity and rising sea level.
According to this report, climate change will force more than 200 million people to leave their homes by 2050 unless required measures are taken by the global community. Even with the low emissions and sustainable development, the world would witness 44 million climate migrants. Sub-Saharan Africa is the most vulnerable region to the climate change-led migration.
