Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib

Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib is a place of worship for Sikhs located near the Parliament House in Delhi. It marks the site of cremation of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the 9th Sikh Guru, after his martyrdom in 1675. Guru Tegh Bahadur is known for his efforts in saving Kashmiri Pandits. He was beheaded on the orders of Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. The Gurudwara was built in 1783 Sikh military leader Baghel Singh Dhaliwal.
