ICGS Vigraha

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship Vigraha is the seventh in the series of Offshore Patrol Vessels that will be commissioned on August 28. This 98-metre long vessel was designed and built indigenously by Larsen & Turbo Ship Building Limited. With this defence contract, this shipyard became the first private entity to design and construct offshore patrol vessel class of ships in India.
The vessel is equipped with advanced radars, navigation and communication equipment, sensors and machinery capable of operating in tropical waters. It will be performing coastal and offshore patrols, policing maritime zones and conducting surveillance, anti-piracy and anti-smuggling operations.
