India Export Initiative

The India Export Initiative was launched recently by the Indian Government. The initiative provides information pertaining to the export potential for all the 456 tariff lines and potential markets, export trends, procedures and others. It will benefit some 1 lakh MSMEs looking to know more about exports. It will also support around 30,000 MSMEs to initiate exports.
India currently has more than 63 million MSMEs. They contribute nearly 40 per cent of India’s exports. They also account for 6.11 per cent of India’s manufacturing GDP and 24.63 per cent of GDP from services sector. Through the new initiative, the government aims to achieve export target of 400 billion USD this fiscal.
