JJM Digital Academy

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, in collaboration with Echo India, took a significant step towards enhancing the nation’s water supply program by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the JJM Digital Academy. The inauguration of the online portal of the academy took place during a two-day national conference held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on 21st and 22nd July.

Objective of JJM Digital Academy

The primary objective of the JJM Digital Academy is to build the capacity of various stakeholders associated with the water supply program. These stakeholders include administrators, engineers, Panchayat functionaries, technicians, sanitation workers, and foot soldiers that are at the forefront of implementing water-related initiatives across the country. By providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills, the academy aims to empower these individuals to contribute effectively to achieving the objectives of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

Digital Technology for Training

One of the most significant advantages of the JJM Digital Academy is its utilization of digital technology for training purposes. The academy recognizes the potential of innovative approaches to deliver training and education, which can bring about more efficient and accessible learning opportunities for stakeholders across the country. With the integration of digital tools, participants can access training materials remotely, making it possible for them to balance their learning with their professional responsibilities.

Repository of Knowledge Sharing
