The Indian Government launched a digital platform called Kisan Sarathi to help farmers access information required for improving the quality of crops. It was launched on the occasion of the 93rd Foundation day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
With this platform, the farmers will be able to interact and access personalised advices on agriculture and allied areas directly from the respective scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). This will help promote novel and nascent agricultural technologies into the field, leading to improved crop production. This will enable farmers to become competitive in the global market and gain more profits and income.
