MGNREGA Entitlement Awareness Week

MGNREGA Entitlement Awareness Week was conducted by the states and union territories as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to create public awareness about the rights and entitlements under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. The week was observed between August 27 to September 2.
MGNREGA is a livelihood security law that guarantees ?right to work?. It provides legal entitlements to the job seekers through its various provisions. Various activities are undertaken by the government to make these entitlements accessible for the public. These initiatives will help beneficiaries gain maximum benefits from the MGNREG scheme.
