Mission Antyodaya Survey 2022-23
Mission Antyodaya Survey 2022–23 is an initiative launched by the Indian government to assess the effectiveness of government schemes and programs in transforming people’s lives and livelihoods. The survey is conducted by the Department of Rural Development across all Gram Panchayats in India. It is a critical component of the Mission Antyodaya framework, which aims to create a self-reliant and empowered society.
Objectives
The main objective of the Mission Antyodaya Survey 2022–23 is to evaluate the progress made in rural areas and assess the impact of various government schemes on the lives and livelihoods of rural communities. The survey aims to collect data on various aspects of rural life, including education, health, livelihoods, water, sanitation, and infrastructure. The results of the survey will be used to identify the strengths and weaknesses of existing programs and to develop new programs to address the most pressing needs of rural communities.
Methodology
The 2022–23 Mission Antyodaya Survey will be conducted in 2,69,253 gram panchayats and equivalents. The profiles of these panchayats have been created in e-Gram Swaraj, which is an online platform that allows the government to monitor and evaluate rural development programs. The survey will be conducted by trained enumerators who will collect data from households in the rural areas. The data collected will then be analyzed to determine the progress made in various sectors, such as education, health, livelihoods, water, sanitation, and infrastructure.
Scope of the Survey
The Mission Antyodaya Survey 2022–23 will cover a wide range of issues affecting rural communities in India. The survey will gather information on education, including school enrollment and attendance, literacy rates, and the availability of schools and teachers. It will also collect data on health, including access to healthcare services, maternal and child health, and the prevalence of diseases.
In addition to education and health, the survey will also focus on livelihoods, water, sanitation, and infrastructure. The survey will gather information on the availability of work, types of employment, and the income generated from various sources. It will also collect data on access to water and sanitation, as well as the state of roads, bridges, and other forms of infrastructure.
Importance
The Mission Antyodaya Survey 2022–23 is important for several reasons. Firstly, it provides a comprehensive picture of rural life in India and the progress made in various sectors. Secondly, it helps the government to identify areas of need and to develop new programs to address the most pressing needs of rural communities. Thirdly, the survey results provide valuable information for researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders who are working to improve rural life in India.
