National Ayush Mission

The National Ayush Mission was launched by the Department of AYUSH to promote traditional medicines through cost effective AYUSH services, awareness, quality control, increasing raw material availability etc.
The Union Cabinet approved continuation of the National Ayush Mission as centrally sponsored scheme another five years until 2026. The scheme would be extended from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2026 with the overall outlay of Rs.4,607.30 crore. The budget is shared between the Centre and state governments. The scheme would involve the establishment and upgrdation of Ayush wellness centres, medical colleges, hospitals and dispensaries.
