National Film Development Corporation
National Film Development Corporation of India is a central government agency set up to encourage the good cinema movement in India. The NFDC seeks to plan, promote and organise an integrated and efficient development of the Indian Film Industry. The Union Cabinet had recently approved the merger of four film media units – Films Division, Directorate of Film Festivals, National Film Archives of India and Children’s Film Society – with NFDC. The aim here is to achieve convergence of activities and resources and ensure better coordination of these units.
