About the National Youth Awards
The National Youth Awards are presented annually to young men, women, and voluntary organizations that have shown extraordinary work in national development and social service. The objective of these awards is threefold: to inspire young people aged between 15 and 29 years to chase excellence in national development or social services, to instil a sense of community responsibility in them and enhance their capabilities as responsible citizens, and to acknowledge the remarkable work done by voluntary organizations working with the youth for national development and/or social service.
However, it’s worth noting that government employees, such as those working with the Central/State Governments, PSUs, Universities, Colleges, Schools, and so on, are not eligible for this award. Further, the award can only be received once in a lifetime.
