Previously, Indian students studying in France were granted a two-year post-study work visa. However, the recent policy change now extends the post-study visa duration to five years. The academic year 2021-2022 recorded approximately 6,000 Indian students studying in France, based on official data collected post-Covid. Inviting 20,000 Indian Students by 2025 France has set an ambitious target of inviting 20,000 Indian students to the country by 2025, as announced by Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.
