What is Oxy Van?

Oxy Van (Oxygen Forest) is a select piece of land on which as many as 3 crore trees can be planted. The Oxy Vans can occupy 10 per cent of the 8 lakh hectares of land across the northern state. This unique initiative announced by the Haryana Government on the occasion the World Environment Day.

Oxy Vans are to be planted on the 80-acre land belonging to the Forest Department at the Mughal Canal. They are also going to be planted in Bir Ghaggar over an area of 100 acres. The aggregate outlay of this initiative is Rs.1 crore.
