Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched by the Indian Government in 2015 to promote skill development in the country. It was launched to recognize and standardize skills and increase employability of the Indian labor force. The objective of this scheme is to provide employable skills and increase working efficiency of daily wage workers by inculcating in-demand skills.
Under the aegis PMKVY, the government had launched a new scheme called Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana to provide training in four trades – Electrician, Welder, Mechanist and Fitter. It will be training 5,000 candidates for three years.
