Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) is a central sector scheme that seeks to supplement agriculture, improve processing and preservation capacities, modernise and expand food processing units and minimise waste via value addition. It was earlier launched as SAMPADA (Scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters) in 2017.
Under this umbrella scheme, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has been implementing the ?Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure Scheme? to minimise post-harvest losses and increase value addition. A total of 353 projects have been approved under this scheme by the government across various states and union territories till date.
