Prarambh- Startup India International Summit
Recently, Prime Minister Modi has asked the Indian youth to come forward and attend “Prarambh”, a Startup India international Summit. Modi highlighted that the summit aims to bring together experts, great minds, and young startup leaders from education, investment, industry, banking, finance, etc. on one platform.
Key Points
- The Startup India International Summit will be held virtually on January 15 and 16.
- Parambh will be hosted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
- PM Modi is also likely to address the summit.
- The summit will also mark the 5th anniversary of the “Startup India” campaign that was launched by PM Modi in January 2016.
- DPIIT will also host 2 closed-door virtual roundtables in association with CII & FICCI, IFC and TiE Global, and the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (IVCA).
- These roundtables will be attended by major Indian policymakers, regulators, ministry heads, and Global VC Funds from Japan, USA, Singapore, Korea as well as India Domiciled Global Fund Managers.
The two roundtables will be- Global Funds Regulatory Roundtable and Mobilizing Domestic Capital for Startups. The registration for the summit is open.
