The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) has been officially renamed as the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library (PMML) Society. This autonomous institution, overseen by the Ministry of Culture, aims to advance research on Modern and Contemporary India. Housed in the historic Teen Murti House in New Delhi, it was originally designed as the official residence for the Commander-in-Chief during British rule. Subsequently, it became the residence of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Established in 1966, the PMML Society manages various constituents including the Memorial Museum, a Library on modern India, Centre for Contemporary Studies, and the Nehru Planetarium.
