Prime Minister?s Shram Awards

The Prime Minister?s Shram Awards recognises the exceptional contributions of workmen as defined by the Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 both from private and public sectors. It recognises innovation, devotion, presence of mind, exceptional courage and sacrifices.
This year, the awards were given in three categories ? Shram Bhushan Awards, Shram Vir/Shram Veerangana Awards and Shram Shree/Shram Devi Awards. For the year 2018, 33 of these awards were conferred to 69 individuals. They were recognised for their outstanding performance, notable contribution in the field of productivity and for exhibiting remarkable courage and presence of mind.
