PUBG Corporation to Launch New Game for India

PUBG Mobile corporation announced their plan to re-launch in India on November 12, 2020. However, the users of India might experience a ‘tailored’ version of the game.


There is no announcement of the exact date for the launch of the game in India. But the company is ready with an elaborate plan to re-launch it in India.


India had banned 118 mobile apps with Chinese links on September 2, 2020. This also included the popular game Pubg Mobile. The applications were banned in India citing the data privacy concerns. It was highlighted that these applications were a threat to national security. In the line, Chinese company ‘Tencent Games’ terminated all service and access of the Pubg Mobile Nordic Map: Livik and Pubg Mobile Lite along with the “Pubg Mobile” for the users in India on October 30, 2020.

What had changed in the new game?

PUBG Corporation have revealed that they have planed to tackle the issues because of which the game was banned in the first place. Also, the company have planned to tackle the issue of long persisting concerns regarding the immense popularity of games among younger audience. The company have also revealed their plans to provide a secure gameplay environment along with the investments so as to cultivate local video game, entertainment and IT industries. The company further claimed that it will conduct regular audits and verifications on the storage systems holding Indian users’ personally identifiable information. This audit will be done in order to reinforce security and to ensure that their data is safely managed.
