Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh

Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh was a freedom fighter who had set up a “Provisional Government of India” in Kabul in the middle of the First World War in the year 1915. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1932. He entered Lok Sabha as an independent candidate from Mathura in 1957. He is known for his role in promoting education in India.
The Uttar Pradesh Government is set to build a university in Aligarh in his name. The prominent social reformer was known to have donated a land for the Aligarh Muslim University.
