Russia-Sudan Agreement

Russia and Sudan recently signed an agreement to allow Russia to set up a naval base in Africa for at least 25 years. This would allow Russia to station 4 naval vessels, including nuclear powered ones, at a time in Port Sudan in the Red Sea. In exchange, Russia would be providing weapons and military equipment to Sudan. After 25 years, the agreement could extend for another 10 years if neither of the parties object.
