‘Save Water to Get Free Water’ scheme

?Save Water to Get Free Water? scheme was launched in Goa recently, making it the first state in the country to provide water supply at free of cost. Under this scheme, households will not be charged for the consumption of up to 16,000 liters of water.
Implemented from September 1, this scheme is expected to provide zero bills for 60 per cent of the households in the state. Small businesses and restaurants can avail the benefit of this scheme as they will be transferred from the industrial to commercial segment for water billing. It is also expected to significantly benefit those living in flats or complexes.
