The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020- Highlights

BEST FIFA Football Awards 2020 were held virtually due to the pandemic on December 17. The Best FIFA Football Awards are conferred by FIFA every year. The first such award ceremony was held in January 2017 in Zurich, Switzerland.

During the award ceremony, Best FIFA Men’s Player, Best FIFA Women’s Player, Best FIFA Men’s/Women’s Coach, Best FIFA Men’s/Women’s Goalkeeper, FIFA Puskas Award, FIFA Fan Award, FIFA Fair Play Award is given.

Best FIFA Football Awards 2020

• In the Best FIFA Football Awards 2020, the Best FIFA Men’s Player award has been won by Poland’s football player Robert Lewandowski. He is the captain of the Poland national team and plays as a striker for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich.
• Best FIFA Women’s Player 2020 has been won by England’s Lucy Bronz.
• Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2020 award has been given to the Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp.
• Netherlands women’s national football team coach, Sarina Wiegman won the Best FIFA Women’s Coach 2020 award.
• Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper 2020 award has been won by the Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
• French professional footballer, Sarah Bouhaddi has won the Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2020 award.
• Tottenham’s Son Heung-min has won the FIFA Pusks Award for his goal against Burnley in December 2019.
• FIFA Fan Award 2020 has been awarded to Marivaldo Francisco da Silva, a 48-year fan who walks 60 kilometers in 11 hours to watching home matches of Sport Club do Recife in Brazil.
• Itlay’s Mattia Agnese has won the FIFA Fair Play Award after saving the life of an opponent player in a match.
