Transforming Food Systems for Rural Prosperity report

“Transforming Food Systems for Rural Prosperity” report was released on September 21 this year by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) – a specialized UN agency involved in addressing rural poverty and hunger. The report provided recommendations for governments to make global food systems more inclusive, fair and sustainable.
Some of the recommendations provided by the report include providing incentives for farmers to adopt sustainable practices, promotion of nature-based solutions, affordable digital technologies, developing pricing systems that reflect true cost of production and shifting food systems towards circular resource use.
