VAIBHAV Fellowship Scheme

The Indian Government marked National Science Day on February 28, 2023, by launching the VAIBHAV Fellowship Scheme. This scheme is aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of India’s higher education institutions. The VAIBHAV Fellowship scheme will facilitate academic and research collaborations between Indian higher education institutions and top-performing institutions from around the world. The primary objective of this scheme is to promote the mobility of faculties and researchers from overseas institutions to India.

Details of the VAIBHAV Fellowship Scheme

The VAIBHAV Fellowship Scheme is designed to promote research collaborations between Indian and international universities. This scheme aims to create an environment for the diaspora to explore and enhance their scientific capabilities in India. The scheme provides an opportunity for NRI, Persons of Indian Origin or Overseas Citizen of India who have obtained Ph.D/M.D/M.S degree from a recognized university to collaborate with Indian universities.

The scheme is open to all scientific disciplines and offers a wide range of fellowships to researchers and faculty members, including short-term and long-term fellowships. The selected candidates will be provided with the necessary support, including financial assistance, accommodation, and other logistical support.
