What is ‘Rakshita’, which was developed by a DRDO lab?

Rakshita is a bike-based causality transport emergency vehicle developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a Delhi-based DRDO laboratory. It was handed over to the Central Reserve Police Force on 18 January 2021. The bike ambulance will address the issues faced by the Indian security forces and emergency healthcare providers. This vehicle can respond to medical emergencies faster than that of four-wheelers due to its functionality and integrated emergency medical support system
