Yangwang-1
Yangwang-1 spacecraft was developed to be used by resource company Origin Space. The same company had earlier launched NEO-1 – a satellite capable of collecting space debris with a big net. It was launched recently aboard a Long March 2D rocket along with TKSY01-TJ, Beijing-3 and Hisea-2.
This small satellite is described by the Origin Space as China’s first optical space telescope. It will collect visible and ultraviolet light to detect near-Earth asteroids. The satellite will be used to conduct in-depth research on asteroid resources. This will help the firm develop a database of potential resources in the space.
