Uttarakhand Police Tops ICJS 2.0 Ranking

Uttarakhand Police Tops ICJS 2.0 Ranking

Uttarakhand Police has secured the first position in the national ICJS 2.0 ranking, while the State Disaster Response Force has also been recognised for its role during Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025. The developments show the state police force’s progress in digital policing, inter-agency coordination and disaster response readiness.

ICJS 2.0 National Ranking

Uttarakhand scored 93.46 in the latest ICJS 2.0 ranking released through the CCTNS/ICJS Progress Dashboard. Haryana followed with 93.41 and Assam with 93.16. The ranking reflects the state’s strong performance in integrating police systems with courts, prosecution, prisons, forensics and fingerprint databases.

Digital Policing and Integration

ICJS 2.0 aims to create a single digital platform for criminal justice institutions. The Ministry of Home Affairs has set 2026 as the target for full operationalisation. Uttarakhand has completed most module integrations ahead of schedule. This has improved the flow of case diaries, charge sheets, digital evidence and judicial records.

  • Training of police personnel has supported faster investigations.
  • Coordination among CCTNS, e-Courts and e-Prisons has improved.
  • The system follows the principle of One Data, One Entry.
  • Advanced modules such as e-Sakshya, e-Summons and Nyaya Shruti are being prioritised.

SDRF Deployment at Mahakumbh

A 112-member Uttarakhand SDRF team was deployed at Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025 on the request of the Uttar Pradesh Government. The team served from 24 January to 27 February and handled water rescue, first aid, missing pilgrim assistance and crowd-related support in sensitive areas, including Sangam Nose. Their work was praised for discipline and preparedness during the large religious gathering.

Recognition and Administrative Significance

The Uttar Pradesh Government awarded medals and commendation certificates to all deployed SDRF personnel. The Uttarakhand Police leadership said the achievements reflect collective effort, technological innovation and continuous monitoring. The developments are for exam preparation as they connect digital governance, police modernisation, disaster management and inter-state cooperation in public administration.
