Army Educational Corps
Army Educational Corps of the Indian Army trains soldiers and officers of all ranks in various disciplines for combat and non-combat operations. Its establishment can be traced back to April 1921, when a large portion of Indian soldiers was illiterate. Since then, it has adopted to the modern times to inculcate education and technological adaptation based on the organisational needs.
The Indian Army observed the 100th anniversary since the establishment of the AEC on June 1, 2021. On this occasion, a wreath was laid by Major General Devesh Gaur, Additional Director General Army Education and Colonel Commandant, AEC on behalf of the Indian Army.
