Community Reinvestment Act

Community Reinvestment Act is a US legislation that requires the banks to record their lending practices to the communities surrounding their branches. This is to ensure that the banks are not just lending to the wealthy or white customers. The Office of Comptroller of the Currency, one of the US bank regulators, recently announced that it would make sweeping changes to this law to make it on par with the current changes in the banking sector.
