The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is an under-construction infrastructure project that will reduce the travel time between certain cities from the current 24 hours to 12 to 12.5 hours. The cost of this project is Rs.98,000. The 1,380 km long 8-lane expressway is expected to be completed by March 2023.
Thethe foundation stone for this project was laid on March 9, 2019. For its construction, about 15,000 hectares of land was purchased in various states. Upon completion, the expressway is expected to boost connectivity between economic hubs such as Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat.
