Dubai Launches Work from Park Initiative

Dubai Launches Work from Park Initiative

Dubai Municipality launched the “Work from Park” initiative on 19 April 2026 to convert public parks into multifunctional urban spaces combining productivity, leisure, and nature. The first site will open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park, featuring modular workspaces built to high sustainability standards.

Features of the Work from Park Initiative

The initiative offers flexible, technology-enabled workspaces including hot desks, event areas, podcast studios, and creative production facilities. It targets entrepreneurs, freelancers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and remote workers. Modular units are constructed by Group AMANA, while Letswork LLC manages user access through a digital platform.

Alignment with Dubai’s Urban and Economic Plans

The programme supports the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, and the Public Parks and Greenery Strategy, which plans for 310 new parks and over 220 upgrades by 2040. It is implemented through a public-private partnership model to encourage investment and foster a sustainable, innovation-driven urban economy.

Expansion Plans

Following the initial launch, the “Work from Park” concept will expand to additional public parks throughout 2026, with plans to extend to 35 more parks. The initiative aims to integrate workspaces within green urban environments across Dubai. The Dubai Urban Plan 2040 focuses on sustainable urban growth and increased green spaces. Public-private partnerships are a key mechanism in Dubai’s urban development strategy.
