Exercise INDRA 2021

Exercise INDRA 2021 is the 12th edition of the bilateral military exercise between Russia and India. It will be held from August 1 to 13 this year. It objective is to conduct counter-terror exercise targetting international terror groups. The exercise will help improve mutual cooperation and interoperability between the Indian and Russian Armies and enable sharing of the best practices to combat terrorism.
250 personnel from India and Russia are to participate in this drill. The Indian Army contingent will comprise of a Mechanised Infantry Battalion. The exercise will be held in Volgograd, a major Russian city located on the western bank of the Volga river.
